Date: 12th March 2012 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), the body responsible for taxis within the emirate, has signed a taxi tyre supply contract with the Al Dobowi Group. The two-year deal, valued at AED 10,558,195 (£1.8 million) deal, was signed by Al Dobowi executive director Harjeev Khandari and Yousef Al Ali, acting CEO of the Dubai Taxi Corporation. Under the terms of the agreement, Al Dobowi will supply Hankook tyres for and undertake tyre maintenance on Dubai’s taxis.

According to the Khaleej Times, Al Ali said Al Dobowi was given the contract due to its ongoing cooperation and extensive experience, excellent reputation and the quality of the tyres it supplies. For his part, Kandahari expressed his pleasure to resume working side by side with the Roads & Transport Authority and Dubai Taxi Corporation for a further two extra years.
