Date: 9th February 2012 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Many truck-related and a number orientated business have signed up to exhibit at April’s CV Show. At the same time the partnership behind the exhibition has announced plans to give away free tickets to visitors that pre-register.

One exhibitor that is keen to make the most of its presence is Continental Automotive which is launching a new marketing initiative for 2012 called “Did You Know?” “The idea behind the campaign is to provide question and answer-style information for Drivers and Operators,” explains Jackie Dougall, marketing manager for VDO.

Over the years Continental, under the VDO brand, has developed a wide range of tachograph data management products to capture, analyse and archive driver and tachograph data from owner drivers to fleets of all sizes across the world.

Warwick Control will have a stand in the show’s workshop area to showcase its diagnostic equipment and training for the commercial vehicle and aftermarket industries. With more than 20 years’ experience, Warwick Control offers Controller Area Network (CAN) and Local Interconnect Network (LIN) testing and analysis tools. The company will also release a new CAN bus diagnostic tool, specifically for the aftermarket repair garage industry.

At the same time Liverpool-based wholesaler Kirkby Tyres will be showing its range of Double Coin truck tyres at the CV Show. According to the company, these tyres are available in 17.5, 20, 22.5, 24 and 24.5 sizes and all are e-marked, Reach compliant, s-marked and are said to be re-groovable and re-treadable.

One of the latest firms to book a stand in the Workshop area of the CV Show is the parts supplier TRW Automotive Aftermarket. The multi-national TRW plans to use the Show to underline one of its main sales drives – “no compromise on safety” – for all its products, which include brake, steering and suspension parts as well as shock absorbers. It will also display its own design of tie rod end and its tyre pressure monitoring system.

TRW Proequip’s UK sales and marketing director, James O’Gara, said: “With year-on-year growth of 40 per cent we are excited about the future. We have some serious developments planned for the next few years which will take us further towards our goal of becoming the global leader for HCV parts.”

ATS Euromaster, Bandvulc Group, Bridgestone/Truck Point, GITI Tire (UK) Ltd, Hankook Tyre UK Ltd, Kwik-Fit Fleet, Maha UK Ltd, RH Claydon, SPX and Texa are amongst the many names that have already committed to exhibiting.
