Apollo to unveil Aspire 4G in Geneva

Date: 29th February 2012 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

At next week’s Auto Salon in Geneva, Apollo Tyres is unveiling its latest UHP summer passenger car tyre. Known as the Aspire 4G, the new range will be available in W and Y speed ratings. Further details will be available following the tyre’s official launch on 7 March.

The tyre maker also reports strong performance from its 3G Maxx in recent tests carried out by Germany’s ADAC. A total of 30 tyres were tested by the motoring organisation, 15 in size 165/70 R14T and 15 in 205/55 R16V, and the Apollo tyre was rated fourth overall in the first of these two categories. The ADAC described the 3G Maxx’s performance as “very balanced, full marks in the wet.”

Finally, the Indian company says the Apollo brand’s European market coverage will soon be extended; plans are now underway to enter the Swiss, Austrian and Danish markets. The Apollo range of passenger car and 4×4 tyres are already sold in the UK, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.
