Oro-Tek issues TPMS data app

Date: 18th January 2012 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

In the US, Oro-Tek has added QR codes to its TPMS sensor packaging, allowing technicians to get application and relearn data direct to their smartphones. QR code scan apps are available for free for iPhone, BlackBerry and Android smartphones.

Using a QR code reader, all the techs need to do is scan the code with their smartphone and they will get a list of all the vehicle applications for that sensor and the matching procedure to pair the sensor with the vehicle’s ECU.

“This is without a doubt the easiest and smartest way to get a relearn procedure yet,” said Tim Bartel, marketing manager for Oro-Tek. “We are dedicated to maximizing technology and empowering the end user.”

For those without a smartphone Oro-tek’s website, orotekusa.com, provides a free application guide to look-up re-learn procedures for sensor-to-ECU pairing.
