Raw Tyres wins £8,995 alignment prize

Date: 12th October 2011 Author: Admin Comments: 0

HiQ branch Raw Tyres in Pontefract has won a Hunter HawkEye ‘Special’ imaging aligner worth £8,995 in a competition organised by wheel alignment specialists Pro-Align. The winning workshop was one of 251 from across the UK that entered Pro-Align’s online competition as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations.

“We’re thrilled to have won this fantastic prize,” comments Steven Raw, director, Raw Tyres. “We already offered a wheel alignment service but were using equipment that was not as fast or as capable as the Hunter system. I’ve seen a similar system in HiQ’s Leeds depot and was blown away by its speed and ease of use so I’m over the moon that we’ve won. I’m really looking forward to getting our hands on our very own imaging aligner as it will make things much easier and a lot quicker.”

To help Raw Tyres take full advantage of their new equipment, Pro-Align will also be providing full installation, training and service support.

“We are delighted for Steven and his team,” comments Paul Beaurain, managing director Pro-Align. “They already have a successful and thriving business, but venturing into imaging alignment will help to maximise their retail four wheel alignment servicing side, further enhancing their reputation locally, and help to secure even more business and customers for the future. We will follow their progress with a great deal of interest.”

Raw Tyres has been part of the HiQ network since 2002, and offers a wider range of services including tyres, MOTs and servicing from its five workshop bays. It will now focus even more effort and attention on wheel alignment, which already includes substantial referral work from nearby franchise dealerships and other independent workshops.

“As part of our 20 year celebrations, we wanted to give something special back and offer one workshop the unique opportunity to transform their business through wheel alignment, as we did ourselves, all those years ago,” continued Beaurain. “We wish Steven and the team at Raw Tyres the very best for the future and we would also like to thank the scores of other workshops who took the time to enter our competition.”
