Cooper appoints new European subsidiary director

Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Europe has appointed Sylvain Borré as European subsidiary director, effective immediately. Borré will report to sales and marketing director Nigel Hampson and be responsible for all commercial activity in France, Germany and Switzerland.

Fluent in French, English and German, Borré, 41, studied International Business at EPSCI (ESSEC Business School in Paris) and joins Cooper with more than 16 years experience in the European tyre industry.

Nigel Hampson said of the new appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Sylvain Borré to our European management team. Sylvain’s wide ranging experience puts us in an excellent position as we prepare a number of new product introductions for 2012.”

Borré commented: “I’m very much looking forward to working with Cooper’s European team. It is an exciting time to join the company and it’s great to be part of the future of Cooper Tire.”
