Date: 13th June 2011 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

The US military’s Defense Logistics Agency has awarded two tyre supply contracts worth over US$60 million in total to Goodyear and Michelin. The Akron, Ohio-based Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., was awarded a fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract with a maximum $37,104,838 for aircraft tyres intended for the US Army and Air Force. The contract’s “performance completion” is scheduled for 13 September 2013.

Michelin North America, Inc., based in Greenville, South Carolina, was awarded a fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract with a maximum value of $28,017,732 for aircraft tyres. Again the tyres are destined for US Army and Air Force usage. The contract has the same performance completion date as the Goodyear deal.

The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is based in Columbus, Ohio.
