ATS Euromaster Wins Removal Company Tyre Contract

Date: 24th September 2010 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

International removals firm Rose Removals has switched from a local tyre service provider to ATS Euromaster, using a mixture of Avon and Michelin tyres for its fleet of 12 vans and 12 trucks. For 20 years the 35-year-old, Devon-based company had sourced its domestic tyre requirements from Mid-Devon Tyres, but had experience of using the extensive Euromaster network in mainland Europe. ATS Euromaster’s parent company operates across 11 countries on the continent, providing a roadside rapid response service to many visiting UK fleets.

Managing director George Rose says: “We’ve always been very impressed with Euromaster’s service standards abroad, and ATS Euromaster seemed better placed to offer consistently high standards to our fleet in the UK thanks to its nationwide network. Its tyre management expertise and commitment to professional tyre husbandry is also top of the league.”

The company’s fleet, comprised primarily of Volkswagen LT, Volkswagen Transporter and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, with a mixture of trucks from 7.5 to 44 tonnes, will receive fortnightly tyre safety inspections by ATS Euromaster technicians, with written reports detailing overall tyre condition and remaining tread depth provided to the transport team. Also included in the contract is access to ATS Euromaster’s extensive mobile service fleet, totalling nearly 1,000 tyre-fitting vehicles – the largest of its kind in the UK.

The service can be pre-booked to carry out routine tyre servicing work across the customer’s sites in Exeter, Crediton, Barnstaple and Okehampton. The fleet can also be called upon to provide a 24/7 roadside rapid response service in the event of a tyre-related breakdown anywhere in the UK. According to ATS-E’s 2009 national average, technicians arrive on the scene within 71 minutes, and always aim to replace vehicles’ tyres according to the defined brand policy.

“We’re delighted with the service so far,” says Rose. “Consistency of service across the fleet has improved, as our UK tyre policy now matches what we expect from Euromaster abroad.  ATS Euromaster’s tyre purchasing strength is also reflected in the prices we are paying for our preferred tyre brands.”
