Conti Joins XING Network

Date: 27th November 2009 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

The German based XING business network can be likened to a corporate Facebook, and over eight million members are already using the website to manage their business contacts. The service is very popular in German speaking regions, and to capitalise on this Continental AG has begun a one-year XING trial.

“In recent months, we have determined to an ever greater extent that many of our employees already communicate extensively via various social networks. In doing so, however, they publish various information about the company,” said Monika Andrae, head of Online Relations for Continental AG, explaining why the company has decided to open an account on XING. “To make sure that Continental is presented in a uniform manner, we are establishing a company profile for the Continental Corporation, for the time being on the German-speaking XING business network,” In the future, says Continental, it will be possible to access up to date information, reports and activities on Continental’s company profile and also interact actively with company representatives.
