Busy Equip Auto For Arcom

Date: 10th November 2009 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Arcom, the Polish supplier of racking and storage systems took a stand at the recent Equip Auto trade fair, held in Paris. This was the first time that Arcom had attended the event and was a result of the newly-created co-operation between the Polish company and its French distributor AC Negoce. Exhibitions are a vital part of Arcom's marketing strategy and the company has previously exhibited at both Autopromotec in Bologna and the Reifen fair in Essen. Equip Auto was different, however, as 90 per cent of the visitors came from France and England, in contrast to the more wider geographical profile of visitors to the other two shows.

So how was the show? A spokesperson for Arcom described it as “a great success”, saying: “Although there is a global economic crisis, this was not apparent in Paris and there was much activity on our stand and considerable interest in our products.” In fact, so great was the interest that on one day additional personnel from AC Negoce had to be brought in to help out on the stand. It helped also that there were no competitors at the show.

Arcom is usually a large volume supplier, but it has found the French market different, as around a third of storage product buyers are small service companies. As such, there was much interest in smaller products, like the AR-05 storage rack, from which individual tyres can be accessed, and the AR-30 trolley, which can be used to store and transport 50 car tyres. The agreement with AC Negoce was signed because of the specific nature of the French market and because AC Negoce can handle small quantities.

Arcom seems intent on pursuing the exhibition trail and is keen to take part in trade events next year in England, which is the latest market targeted by the company for export expansion.
