Bridgestone Safety Campaign Gets Underway in India
The tyre major has added a touch of glamour to the Indian launch of Think Before You Drive through the use of Formula One vehicles and Bollywood stars. During the month of June Bridgestone is taking its road show to various shopping malls in Mumbai before heading to other cities.
Commenting on the launch, Bridgestone India managing director H. Tanigawa said, “I’m extremely pleased and proud to launch ‘Think Before You Drive campaign’ in India. This is a very successful initiative worldwide, which has been conducted in almost 80 countries. The campaign aims to promote safe driving behaviour and to raise awareness about road safety, locally and globally.”
To complement the safety message, Bridgestone has set up safety check stations at mall, corporate park and expressway locations. The company is also distributing safety booklets and a gauge that measures tyre pressure and tread depth.
