Woods to Lead Snap-on Diagnostics’ Workshop Equipment Range

Date: 21st May 2009 Author: Admin Comments: 0

Snap-on Diagnostics has appointed Julian Woods as Under Car Product Lead with specific responsibility for Snap-on’s recently introduced new workshop equipment range. In his new role, Julian will be responsible for the new Snap-on range of lifts, tyre changers, wheel balancers and wheel aligners which were introduced in January this year as a result of strong customer demand. Snap-on Diagnostics’ VOSA-approved Sun VIC 3000 ATL Automatic Test Lane has now been added to the under car range and this now also becomes Julian’s responsibility.

Julian joined Snap-on Diagnostics in 1987 as a test technician, then working in a variety of management roles in service and field support before taking on his previous position of technical manager. As well as taking on the responsibility for the under car product range Julian will retain his Health & Safety and UKAS responsibilities.

“Our research told us that forward thinking independent workshops were looking to provide a full service to their customers, without giving away valuable profits to the larger chains,” says Colin Nutt. “We decided to fill this need with a range of affordable quality equipment focused on the independent workshop, enabling them to offer a competitive service to their customers. Julian’s previous experience with Snap-on makes him the ideal person to take forward the opportunities offered to the UK trade by the launch of our new workshop equipment range.”
