Tyre Manufacturing a Job Loss Area in 2009, Says Survey

Date: 12th January 2009 Author: Admin Comments: 0

The tyre manufacturing segment has been identified by industry intelligence provider IBIS World as one where job losses are most likely to occur this year. In its survey of industries most at risk in 2009, IBIS World names tyre manufacturers along with real estate agents, car salespeople, investment bankers, bricklayers, boat builders and, surprisingly, prawn fisherman as being amongst those most at risk.

Those who do find themselves in the unfortunate position of being out of a job may wish to consider a change of profession – according to IBIS World, nursing homes are a particular employment growth area, and ageing baby boomers are also expected to keep radiographers and people involved in diagnostic imaging busy with more and more tests required to keep them fit and active.
