Yokohama Releases Latest Advan Product

Date: 4th November 2008 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Yokohama is adding a new tyre to its global flagship Advan range. Known as the Advan Neova AD08, the new sports product made its first public appearance at the November SEMA show in the US and will go on sale in the second quarter of 2009. Release of the new tyre around the world will occur gradually, and although the Advan Neova AD08 will be produced in a total of 39 sizes from 15 to 19-inches, Yokohama reports that not every size will be available in every market.

The new addition to the Advan range represents a model change from the Advan Neova AD07 after six years. The manufacturer reports the new tyre has been developed to “be the strongest Advan street tyre”, as close as possible to tyres seen on the track. Accordingly, continues Yokohama, the company’s experience as World Touring Car Championship tyre supplier was drawn upon in creating the compound, tread pattern and all aspects of construction. All this makes, the company says, a tyre with an impressive ability to hold the target line through sustained high-speed cornering on dry surfaces plus a high degree of balance in all the expected performance criteria – control and stability, grip on wet surfaces, wear and uneven-wear resistance.
