AF Blakemore Chooses Pirelli Truck Tyres

Date: 26th November 2008 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

AF Blakemore and Son Ltd has decided to switch tyre suppliers to Pirelli Truck Tyres. Blakemore’s Wholesale, Food Service and Spar Distribution Divisions currently deliver to over 5,255 outlets with a fleet of 350 vehicles ranging from 3.5 to 44 tonnes.

Spar distribution transport manager Dave Higgs commented: “Pirelli, working in partnership with a local service provider Total Tyre Care based in Willenhall, have demonstrated the effectiveness of the Pirelli Amaranto Truck range of tyres and Blakemore’s are pleased with the improved performance experienced during the trial period. We provide a multi drop operation often making deliveries in tight locations, traditionally this led to frequent replacement of the front steer tyres, and since switching to Pirelli we have experienced a 75 per cent improvement on replacement.”

The Pirelli Amaranto range has been available in the UK over the last four years and the company reports that it is being continuously developed.
