Two Quit Amtel-Vredestein Board

Date: 21st March 2007 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

(Akron/Tire Review) Vredestein Banden CEO Rob Oudshoorn has unexpectedly resigned from the executive board of parent company Amtel-Vredestein NV. Also leaving the board was Vredestein CFO Ton Tolens.

The two executives said they left the company’s managing board to give their full attention to Vredestein’s business.

Tholens also gave up his post as CFO of Amtel-Vredestein.

Amtel-Vredestein CEO Alexei Gurin will temporarily assume the responsibilities of CFO of the group.

Amtel-Vredestein claimed the resignations came as a result of a “planned implementation of a dual reporting structure at the company whereby current reporting lines within Vredestein Banden will remain unchanged and whereby key managers of Vredestein Banden will additionally report to the COO of the company, Sergei Bokhanov.

“It is anticipated that this enhanced reporting structure will fortify the ability of top management to implement policies, be better informed about the day-to-day activity at its European operation, further integrate sales and marketing activities and more fully synchronise the Dutch and Russian production facilities,” the statement read.
