Progetto Marangoni gets Revved Up

Date: 19th December 2006 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Marangoni tyres’ Progetto Marangoni – the tyremaker’s joint project with tuning magazine Redline – is off to an inspired start. The Progetto Marangoni, which has set out to create what Marangoni hopes will be the ‘toughest, meanest and hottest Toyota Yaris ever’, received so many styling ideas from Redline readers that the criteria for judging needed to be revised.

Instead of a selecting a single winner, the judges were so impressed by seven entries that the best features of each will be incorporated into the Progetto Marangoni Yaris. Derek Carruthers, Marangoni’s car division Sales and Marketing Director, has said that “The impact of this project has already been considerable and it has pitched the Marangoni brand centre-stage in the hot tuning market. This is the first competition of its kind undertaken by Redline magazine and the reader response has been massive. For Marangoni Intelligence Centres and stockists everywhere in the UK this is a tremendous opportunity to capitalise on the high profile and brand exposure the competition is creating.”
