Vredestein Hi-Trac Test Successes

Date: 5th April 2006 Author: Admin Comments: 0

Vredestein Hi-Trac tyres bested those of its international competitors – including those manufactured by Goodyear, Continental, Pirelli and Bridgestone in independent tests which compared braking distances, overall speed & handling and resistance to aquaplaning on wet roads. The tyre took first place on average in 10 tests.

The Vredestein Hi-Trac tyres beat Goodyear HydraGrip, Continental ContPremiumContact 2, Pirelli P7, Bridgestone Euranza ER300, Nokian NRHi, Michelin Energy, Dunlop SP Sport 01 and other brands in independent tests conducted by Sweden’s Aftonbladet–Bil and AutomotorSport, by Norway’s VG and Motor, by Finland’s Tekniikan Maailma and by Russia’s automotive newspaper Avtoreview.

As reported in Avtoreview’s March issue, the braking distance on wet asphalt by a car fitted with Vredestein Hi-Trac tyres traveling at a speed of 80 km/h was considerably shorter than any other brand. The impressive results are attributed to Hi-Trac’s High Silica Solution IV composition.

“The shorter the braking distance, the safer the tyre,” said Marc Luyten, Director Corporate Marketing and Sales of Vredestein Banden B.V. the Amtel-Vredestein European subsidiary which manufactures Vredestein Hi-Trac tyres. “Knowing that most car accidents happen on wet road surfaces, this makes the Vredestein Hi-Trac among the safest high performance tyres on the market today.”
