Goodyear Dunlop Opens New Actionline Callcentre in Birmingham

Date: 26th April 2006 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Goodyear Dunlop has announced an increased investment in Actionline – the 24 hour, 365 day service that will ensure TruckForce customers receive the best emergency roadside assistance support in the industry. The opening of the centre coincides with the Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC, where Goodyear Dunlop is also announcing the signing of what is believed to be Europe’s biggest Truck tyre service contract with TIP trailer services.

The relaunch of Actionline sees the opening of the new Actionline Centre in TyreFort, Birmingham. With a brand-new call centre operation that maps the speed, quality and accuracy of every call made, a dedicated team of 30 has been recruited, all with experienced call centre backgrounds to handle the high levels of incident management and service required. With a potential 10,000 breakdowns per month the team members work in co-ordination with regional ‘Hubs’ and independent service providers to ensure fleets are kept continually moving, keeping down time to an absolute minimum.

Actionline has been providing Commercial fleets with an expert service for over 20 years. With the recent announcement of investment in their Retail operation, Goodyear Dunlop see Actionline as a fundamental part of their full service package as they establish themselves in the UK as the leading truck tyre service provider under the TruckForce banner.

“We have relocated our emergency service support call handling and incident management facility, into our UK headquarters at TyreFort, Birmingham,” explains David Lilley, Actionline Development Manager. “It was important that this transition was seamless to ensure our customer service levels were not in any way compromised. This has been achieved and it has been an extremely positive start to Actionline here in Birmingham.”
