Michelin Picks Stingray to Distribute Accessories

Date: 16th September 2005 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

The first products to be launched in the range include digital tyre pressure gauges, air compressors, foot pumps, car mats and air fresheners. Other related products are to be phased in within the next 12 months.

Says Chris Dawes, Managing Director of Michelin Lifestyle, the subsidiary company of the Michelin Group charged with the development of this new international business: “Each product is designed and developed to embody our brand values; performance, durability, safety and innovation. Through Stingray, we aim to satisfy demand with the most stylish and desirable range of accessories to reach the South African automotive market.”

Stingray has been associated with quality vehicle accessories, household heating appliances and lifestyle products for more than two decades. The company pioneered the car seat cover and electric blanket industries in South Africa more than 20 years ago. The company’s strength in the retail industry sector steered Michelin’s decision to appoint Stingray as official licensee of its products in Southern Africa.
