Toyo Drives Towards Growth with Engine

Date: 29th April 2005 Author: Admin Comments: 0

Toyo Tyre UK has appointed Engine, a cross-media design agency, to handle the first phase of its new UK marketing communications programme. This will involve the creation of brand new press advertising campaign with a total budget of £600,000.

The campaign is designed to deliver greater awareness of Toyo Tyre’s high performance tyres to general motorists and specifically to car enthusiasts. According to the company, this will be achieved through “high impact design, executed across several communications channels.”

“Since 2001, Toyo Tyres has grown significantly at over 12 per cent per annum compared to market growth of less than one per cent. We’re confident Engine will deliver the punch we require to stand out in the consumer arena and continue our growth plans,” said Toyo Tyre UK marketing manager Mike Rignall.

Matt Key, creative director at Engine, added: “Toyo Tyres is widely recognised in the high performance sector. Our aim is to leverage its strong position into the mainstream consumer market through an edgy design treatment.”
