Cooper’s Numbers Look Good

Date: 23rd July 2004 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Analysts have reported that Cooper’s 2nd quarter results were better than they expected. The good results are said to be mainly due to improved performance from the Cooper tyre division. This is good news for the company because it is due to sell its Auto Parts division, making tyre production its core business.

Although there is no news on the Cooper Standard sale, it has been implied that a deal could be made within the next month.

At the same time as selling off part of its business Cooper is contemplating additional price increases. It is unclear whether the raw material cost will be offset in the third quarter.
