Tyreclick upgrade results in dealer sales uptick

Micheldever Tyre Services (MTS) reports that recent updates to its TyreClick website have drawn a positive response from the MTS independent dealer network, with many reporting significant increases in sales since the site was revamped.

In one of the biggest and most significant investments into TyreClick since its launch in 2014, the site updates have seen a raft of new design and user functionality features – with the new look site already delivering increased sales for the independent network of tyre dealers using it.

Steve Andrews,dDirector of Steve Andrews Tyres, who has used the site for the last four years, said: “In September we had over 2,000 visitors and nearly £9k worth of sales – mainly to new customers that we haven’t sold to before. Having a fully functioning ecommerce site, without the hassle of maintaining it is a real bonus for us.”

Other MTS network dealers have also praised the performance of the new TyreClick site as it delivers an instant boost to sales.

Sophie Bailey, sales director, at Westgate Tyres, in Morecombe said: “The new updated TyreClick website is already delivering for us as a business, enabling us to compete online and achieve significant levels of sales.

“We can now compete with places like Kwik Fit and Halfords online locally – we couldn’t do that without TyreClick. It’s also well stocked and managed by Micheldever – the orders come in without us having to really do anything!”

Site updates have reportedly made the pages more responsive, with increased user functionality for a number of devices, including iPads and mobile phones. Accessing TyreClick through a mobile phone continues to be one of the most popular ways for customers to use the service and SEO best practice means sites are highly visible to search engines such as Google.

Alan Baldwin, sales director at Micheldever, said: “It’s very encouraging to hear such positive feedback from the tyre dealers about the updated TyreClick website and to know that they are experiencing increases in tyre sales as a result of the site improvements.

“One of our main objectives is always to provide the best opportunities for our network to sell or compete online and the increased functionality and targeted search filtering on the website will help us to sustain this commitment.

“Investments to the site will continue in order to ensure our network is constantly in the best position to generate tyre sales in an ever-changing online market.”

TyreClick supports more than 900 transactional websites, which are linked to independent tyre retailers, each with their own local URL.
