DEKRA Automotive appoints new sales director

Guy Pigounakis has joined DEKRA Automotive Ltd as its new sales director. He takes on this role as the company relocates to a new head office and strengthens its service offerings in the UK by expanding its training, inspection and certification businesses into one brand, DEKRA Automotive Ltd.

Prior to joining DEKRA Automotive, Pigounakis oversaw Hyundai’s rapid sales growth in the UK as director of fleet sales and remarketing and as sales director. Before that, he worked at MG Rover in a variety of senior sales and marketing roles throughout the industry, including a period managing a Dealer Group.

“I am looking forward to starting at DEKRA at this key moment, as they gear up with their ambitious expansion plans in the UK,” said Pigounakis. “My experience and knowledge of the industry combined with DEKRA ‘s enviable reputation for providing innovative business solutions will ensure we can offer the industry the tools it needs to drive vehicle sales, quality delivery and profitability going forward.”

DEKRA recently moved to brand new premises in Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire and has over 200 employees in the UK.
