Pirelli Prestige and Performance competition returns to Blenheim

The Pirelli Prestige and Performance Competition has returned for a third year, this time as the headline act in the newly formed Blenheim Palace Classic and Supercar event.

Over 1,000 supercars and hypercars descended on the Great Court, with 80 being entered into the Pirelli Prestige and Performance Competition. The judging panel, which included racing driver and presenter Vicki Butler Henderson and Tom Exon of @TGE_LDNM on Instagram, had some difficult choices when it came to selecting the following winners:

People’s Choice Award – Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadster

Class A: Ferrari F40 @ 30 – Ferrari F40

Class B: Hypercars – McLaren P1

Class C: Stradale – Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadster

Class D: Lamborghini Scissor Doors – Lamborghini Centenario

Class E: Porsche GTs – Porsche 911 (993) GT2

Class F: Super Roadsters – Lamborghini Huracan Spider

Class G: Supercar Pin-ups 2000 & Beyond – Porsche 911R

Class H: Best of British – TVR 420 SEAC

In addition to the above, the Pirelli Best in Show award, went to a Lamborghini Countach RHD series III LP 400s.

The event, which was attended by around 10,000 members of the public, was the perfect opportunity for Pirelli to showcase its association with prestige manufacturers as many of the cars on display were shod with the Italian brands rubber.

Matteo Barbieri, Prestige Business Development at Pirelli said: “Once again the Pirelli Prestige and Performance Competition was a great success and Blenheim Palace provided the perfect backdrop for these equally stunning cars. Congratulations to all the winners, including the winner of the Pirelli Best in Show award, the Lamborghini Countach RHD series III LP 400s.”

With Blenheim Classic and Supercar taking place on the same day as the Italian Grand Prix at Monza – located just 20 minutes away from Pirelli headquarters in Milan – there was also a big screen in Blenheim’s Great Court for visitors to watch the race, surrounded by some of the world’s finest supercars.
