Launch UK launches air conditioning service stations

Launch UK’s ECOS 150 fully automatic air conditioning service stations

Automotive diagnostics equipment supplier Launch UK has introduced two new fully automatic air conditioning service stations, the ECOS 150 and the ECOS 150YF.

The aftermarket specialist is renowned for bringing the latest technology, tools and equipment to the marketplace and the new service stations enable technicians to efficiently service systems using both types of air conditioning refrigerants.

The ECOS 150 is applicable for R134A refrigerant, while the ECOS 150YF covers R1234YF.

From the 1 January 2017, all vehicles are now fitted with the newer, R1234yf refrigerant or another with a lower GWP (Global Warming Potential) than 1300.

As a result of this, by introducing both machines to its range, Launch UK is offering the independent automotive aftermarket a cost-effective solution to meet the expected increase in demand and enabling them to service vehicles using either type of refrigerant.

Both machines offer an extensive list of benefits including: a three metre hose, on-board printer, built-in tank heater, built-in UV dye bottle, large graphic display, automatic or assisted oil and dye injection, and also access to a comprehensive online database for fittings, connector locations and video tutorials.

Dave Richards, Launch UK managing director, said: “We’re turning up the heat and offering customers a wider range than ever before. These machines are examples of the breadth of our technical aftermarket expertise. Launch UK is at the forefront of this technology and we will continue to explore new equipment while analysing customer requirements to ensure we are meeting demand and bringing innovative solutions to market.”
