TyreClick reports best ever online sales month for independents

TyreClick, the website developed by Micheldever Tyre Services to help its independent customers compete for internet driven business has reported a record 29 per cent surge in sales volumes during May, making May the best recorded since the Tyreclick portal was launched.

The May increase in sales has been accompanied by an increase in profits across the dealer network as consumers choose to purchase more premium and mid-range tyres. According to the company, this change in consumer behaviour has been driven by greater awareness of the importance of tyre quality and an ever decreasing price gap between mid-range and budget tyres.

Alan Baldwin, sales director at Micheldever, said: “It’s an incredible achievement to record such a large percentage increase in sales volumes and demonstrates the commercial impact the TyreClick website can have for dealers signed up to it. We have invested a lot in training, development and customer support to ensure our dealers get the maximum value out of the site.

“It’s also important to note that our customer support is delivered across the whole of our dealer network and not just available to few high value customers, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to reap the rewards on offer. The TyreClick site also allows dealers to own and develop long-term consumer relationships, while retaining their independence, controlling their own branding and margins, and crucially, having access and ownership of consumer data.”

TyreClick supports more than 900 transactional websites, which are linked to independent tyre retailers, each with their own local URL.
