The future is bright for Tamworth-based Motor World

In November, the UK automotive buying group, A1 Motor Stores, announced it had added 37 Tetrosyl-owned branches – almost doubling its motor factor membership from 40 – after months of talks came to a successful conclusion.

Tamworth Motor World has been trading on Watling Street for over 20 years and is well established within the local community for both retail and factoring, with two vans delivering to the local garages. Nigel Ashcroft heads up the team of five and they all have a passion for the business.

“It’s the knowledge from our team and the customer service that we provide that keeps our customers coming back: our advertising is through word of mouth.

“By joining the A1 team our business has been further strengthened, with the varied suppliers, coupled with high quality brand names enhancing our product availability, which really helps with the competition. We have also found the customisable POS kits really useful.”

Head of A1 operations, Simon Salloway:  “We can offer a comfortable home to motor factors and retailers, whose owners wish to remain independent but require the security afforded by belonging to one of the UK’s oldest buying groups.”
