All ‘top ten’ tyre makers now exhibiting at The Tire Cologne

When the doors to the inaugural The Tire Cologne open in just over a year’s time, visitors to the show will find all of the ten largest international tyre manufacturers amongst the exhibitors. Show organiser Koelnmesse GmbH reports completing the ‘top ten’ set with the recent signing up of Hankook Tire. It also confirms that number 11 on the list of global tyre majors, Cooper Tire & Rubber, is now also on board for next year’s exhibition.

Christoph Werner, vice-president of Koelnmesse, describes Hankook’s participation as a “wonderful signal” for the show, which takes place between 29 May and 1 June 2018. “This means that the top ten tyre manufacturers are represented in their entirety at The Tire Cologne. Cooper Tires, as the current number 11 on the world ranking list, underlines the exceptional interim balance.” Werner adds: “The Tire Cologne will be the leading international industry event right from the start.”

The other ‘top ten’ tyre makers on the show’s exhibitor list are Bridgestone, Michelin, Goodyear, Continental, Pirelli, Sumitomo/Falken, Yokohama, Maxxis and Giti. Companies just outside the top ten will also be well represented – Koelnmesse shares that Zhongce Rubber, Toyo Tire & Rubber, Kumho Tire, Triangle Tyre, MRF Ltd, Apollo Tyres, Nokian Tyre and Nexen Tire have all confirmed their participation as exhibitors.

The show organiser also shares that The Tire Cologne is attracting a growing number of exhibitors from the automotive services and workshop supplies segment, as well as companies engaged in retreading and tyre recycling. For example, Hunter Engineering, the global market leader in the field of wheel alignment, has signed up, as has the internationally renowned tool manufacturer Snap On. Both companies will be present in hall 8 of Koelnmesse, where 11,000 square metres will be dedicated to automotive services and workshop needs.

The Tire Cologne 2018 will be held in the Northern Halls of the Koelnmesse exhibition centre. Tyre manufacturers, wholesalers and rim manufacturers will he housed in halls 6, 7 and 8, with this last hall being shared, as mentioned above, by companies specialising in automotive services and workshop requirements. Hall 9 will be home to tyre retreaders and recyclers. In addition to exhibitor presentations, visitors can also look forward to extensive supporting programmes, which will take place in the outdoor space on the north side of hall 8 and between halls 6 and 7.
