Valeo a ‘Global Top Employer’ for third year running

Valeo has been given “Global Top Employer” certification for the third successive year – one of only ten companies worldwide to receive this honour in 2017. The label, awarded by the Top Employers Institute to multinational companies certified a Top Employer in at least 20 countries on several continents, recognises best practice in human resources, particularly talent attraction, compensation and benefits, and training and skills development.

In 2017, Valeo was named a Top Employer in 23 countries spread across five continents. The Group has also been certified “Top Employer Europe” and “Top Employer Asia-Pacific”, with 13 countries singled out in Europe (Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Turkey and United Kingdom) and five in Asia-Pacific (China, India, Japan, South Korea and Thailand). The other countries that earned a distinction are Egypt and Tunisia in Africa; and Brazil, the United States and Mexico in the Americas.

Valeo has 91,800 employees in 32 countries. To support its fast-paced growth, the Group intends to continue its assertive recruitment drive and hire an average 10,000 people each year over the next five years.

Valeo said that attracting top talent is key to maintaining technological leadership and global business growth in an increasingly competitive environment, while responding to the challenges of reducing CO2 emissions and developing intuitive driving.
