CAM has announced it will sever its ties with the market research company GfK, coinciding with the emergence of the Tyre Intelligence Europe data platform. CAM will relinquish its role in extracting data provided by regional and independent dealers through the agency of its software systems on GfK’s behalf. The service to extract data from customer systems will cease at midnight on 31 March 2017.
CAM states the Tyre Intelligence Europe data platform is based upon advanced business intelligence architecture. It presents consumer, van and 4×4 data – delineating between retail and wholesale sources – as well as capturing truck and bus tyre sales. fitted and supply only distinctions are observed.
CAM operations director Ryan Naughton says: “CAM seeks to be associated with leading edge innovation, transactional information accuracy and speed of delivery for executive information and business intelligence. This decision is simply a case of moving on to a better way of doing things.”
Spokesperson for Tyre Intelligence Europe, Steve Daly says: “The acceleration of TIE continues as dealers recognise the robust, speedy and insightful tyre sales data views and reports they can have access to. As the net continues to widen in terms of the data population, so the information becomes more dynamic, useable and relevant for dealers and subscribers.”
