Further appointments within Bridgestone’s CER

Torsten Claßen began as director of the Bridgestone CER passenger car tyre business on 1 February

The position of director for the passenger car tyre division within Bridgestone Europe’s Central Region (CER) left vacant by the departure of Peter Gulows in the middle of last year has now been filled. Torsten Claßen began in this role on 1 February and has taken on responsibility for all sales and marketing activities in Germany and Austria, and for the entire business in Switzerland. He reports to Andreas Niegsch, managing director Bridgestone CER.

The 45-year-old began his career with Nestlé AG in Germany, and his most recent position there was as head of key account management. Immediately prior to joining Bridgestone, Claßen held the position of vice-president for sales and business development Europe at Sodastream in Germany.

A further new appointment within the Bridgestone CER is that of Geert Schoors to the position of general manager Global Business Solution Strategy. Schoors has worked for Bridgestone in its European and German offices for the past 13 years and, together with Andreas Niegsch, took over Gulows’ responsibilities for a transitional period.    sg
