Evashred celebrates EV45E’s first decade

Over 10 years ago Evashred sold its first EV45E, a secure and high throughput paper shredding system, at the Recycling and Waste Management Show held at the NEC in September 2006. That EV45E was used successfully for its new owner until that new owner attracted the interest of a larger business.

The larger business took over and continued to use the EV45E with great success. Eventually that business was then also taken over by a larger shredding company. The large shredding company used the EV45E even more intensively than either of the two previous owners, they even shredded a pair of pliers accidentally but the EV45E continued to run without flaw.

For more than 10 years, that EV45E has worked on its original set of cutting blades, motors and gearboxes without regular maintenance. The large shredding company have now out grown their use for the EV45E, so they’ve sold it to a smaller business achieving around 50 per cent of the machine’s original sales price in 2006. The new owners still use that EV45E today.

As well as paper and plastic the EV45E can shred truck and car tyres.
