European car registrations rebound in November

In November 2016 EU passenger car registration rebounded following the slowdown observed in October. New registrations for the month totalled 1,148,618 units (up 5.8 per cent), according to the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA).

Growth was strongest in Spain (+13.5%) followed by France (+8.5%) and Italy (+8.2%). The UK (+2.9%) and Germany (+1.5%) posted more modest growth.

After 11 months, 2016 passenger car registrations in the EU totalled 13.5 million units, a 7.1 per cent increase, ACEA said.
