Top prize in Bridgestone contest goes to Waltham motorist

Jane Robinson receives the key to her new BMW from Bush Tyres’ Ben Bush

Taking your car in for its annual MOT test and a new set of tyres is rarely an experience to remember – but for one Lincolnshire motorist, the occasion was an event that will live long in the memory, as it resulted in her becoming the proud owner of a brand spanking new BMW 1 Series. When Jane Robinson, from Waltham, took her family car to Bush Tyres in Grimsby for its routine check and a new set of Bridgestone tyres, she entered into a competition to win a gleaming new car. “I never win anything,” comments the 65-year-old. “The car needed an MOT towards the end of August and due to the amount of travelling that me and my husband do with my grandson, we were certain that we’d need new tyres.

“We entered the competition and completely forgot about it,” she adds. “When we received the call last week, I was lost for words. I can’t wait to take my first drive in the car. I’ll make sure that I get into the driver’s seat before my husband does!”

Bridgestone ran the promotion over August and September, which gave motorists the chance to win the headline prize after purchasing a set of the company’s premium products. “These competitions have always been extremely popular with drivers and Bush Tyres were extremely pro-active in getting their customers to enter,” shares Mark Fereday, Bridgestone’s consumer sales and training development manager. “It is great to see such a delighted overall winner in Jane. We’re so glad that she has won and can’t wait to hear how she enjoys her new driving experience.”

Bush Tyres offers MOT’s and services alongside its selection of premium brand tyres to suit all models and manufacturers. The company’s 18 garages are located across the north east and east of England.
