Oak Tyres is moving into its new administrative HQ in the final quarter of 2016
Oak Tyres is to open its new administrative HQ in the next few months. The company states that its new, custom-built premises in Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside is significantly larger than its current facilities in Haydock, providing office space for more staff, and increased training facilities and display areas.
The impending relocation highlights the recent success of Oak’s business; the company states that it has recorded its most successful trading year in the company’s history.
Oak Tyres sales director, Don McIntyre says: “Without a doubt giving customers a choice of superior tyres to choose from along with a very forward thinking brand strategy has enabled us to go from strength to strength within the highly competitive UK wholesale market. Our success is directly linked to the success of our customers so it’s important to give them as much support as possible and the new facilities will take us to a new level.”
Oak has recently added a ‘Dealer Support’ van to its fleet in order to present dealers with marketing collateral and offer bespoke brand packages. The new office facility will take Oak’s support further with its dedicated area delivering training for customers in sales and other business fields like human resources and finance.
The new HQ arrives following the relocation of Oak’s warehousing facilities in Trafford Park, Manchester to a site four times as large to cope with increasing stock-holding demands. At the same time, Oak has made additional investment in office facilities such as new IT systems and an increase in the sales and operation teams.
Oak states that this investment has arrived during a period when wholesale businesses have come under intense pressure from falling pricing. Oak states that its sales continue to grow while the business continues to make customer service and product quality priorities.
Established in 1980, Oak Tyres is a 100 per cent independently managed company with long serving managers who between them offer over 150 years’ tyre industry experience. Part of Grouptyre, Oak is the exclusive distributor of Evergreen, Landsail, and Delinte brands, as well as being in the same group as Davanti Tyres.
