Bridgestone makes NHL ice hockey star its Swedish product ambassador

Swedish NHL hockey star Alexander Steen of St Louis Blues is Bridgestone product ambassador in Sweden

Bridgestone has announced Swedish NHL hockey star Alexander Steen of St Louis Blues as its Swedish product ambassador at a showcase for the manufacturer’s new studded Noranza 001 winter tyre. The Noranza 001 has been developed to perform on icy surfaces, following intensive customer research before the tyre was manufactured. The event, hosted at The Ice Bra, Stockholm, included a detailed presentation on the Noranza from Bridgestone Sweden’s sales manager Fredrik Adlerstam.

Steen, who runs a hockey camp for youngsters in Sundsvall – where Bridgestone’s head offices are located – said: “It means a lot to me to be able to work with such a huge brand as Bridgestone. I do know a lot about the company’s products and it will be great to be able to promote them in the future.”

Adlerstam added: “Featuring revolutionary new stud technology and enhanced grip, our Noranza tyre is our most compelling winter tyre choice for Nordic conditions yet… Bridgestone Noranza boasts a new generation of studs, which are made up of multiple angles in both the double body and core. The shape of these studs provides greater traction, with the placement and quantity lending itself to improved stopping distances.”

Bridgestone’s north region brand manager Peter Coleman was also present at the event. “We are making a concerted effort to engage with more motorists – and journalists – than ever before in Sweden. Our press launch at the Ice Bar is just the starting point and I am looking forward to working with my Swedish colleagues to communicate our many new products and offerings – in particular the Noranza 001 with assistance from Alexander Steen.”
