UK-based Trax JH Ltd, Europe’s second largest wheel weight manufacturer, has won the contract to supply all General Motors (Vauxhall/Opel) Europe plants with steel adhesive balance weights. The new steel adhesive weights will be supplied to car manufacturing plants in Germany, Spain, UK and Poland. Adhesive balance weights now comprise some 80 per cent of the value of all weights purchased by General Motors Europe.

Trax managing director John Hallé commented: “This additional business is welcomed following investment in new technology, staff and management systems over the last few years. Already a major supplier to the aftermarket, Original Equipment (OE) business is necessary to ensure the company retains a market leading status keeping it in the forefront of the industry”.

The latest news signals the continued expansion of Trax’s OE manufacturer customer base. Indeed, Trax already supplies Jaguar Land Rover, Renault and Ford.

Within the last 18 months the company has been accredited with the global OE quality management and environmental standards ISO/TS 16949 & ISO 14001.
