Pirelli tyres OE on Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio

The initials ‘AR’ betray Pirelli’s development collaboration with Alfa Romeo

The new Giulia Quadrifoglio is, as evo magazine puts it, the car that “could potentially re-launch” Alfa Romeo. The saloon can sprint from 62mph in just 3.9 seconds and its 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 sends a healthy 503bhp to the rear wheels. This power comes in contact with the road through Pirelli tyres – the P Zero Corsa has been selected as the Giulia Quadrifoglio’s original equipment fitment.

Pirelli rubber is to be fitted on the new Alfa’s front axle in size 245/35ZR19, with size 285/30ZR19 tyres mounted on the rear. As is the case with all Pirelli tyres homologated by Alfa Romeo, the P Zero Corsa features the initials ‘AR’ on the sidewall. Pirelli reports that its tyre was tailored for the Giulia Quadrifoglio over a ten-month period.
