ATS Euromaster Leeds branch ram-raided

40 tyres have been stolen after the ATS Euromaster branch in Cross Green Lane, Cross Green, Leeds was ram-raided last night (11 July 2016).

Police are appealing for information after the incident which is believed to have taken place at about 10.30. According to West Yorkshire police, the constabulary received reports of a white transit van repeatedly ramming the shutter doors the ATS Euromaster branch “causing significant damage”.

The van was accompanied by a dark-coloured hatchback car and a number of suspects entered the premises and stole about 40 tyres of various makes, including Michelin and Avon, before driving off.

The van, which had been stolen from Wakefield, was later recovered in East End Park.

Detective Inspector Neil Thompson, of Leeds District Crime Team, said: “We are carrying out extensive enquiries into this incident and would like to hear from anyone who has any information that could assist the investigation. We would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered new tyres in suspicious circumstances that might be those that have been stolen.”
