Prinx Chengshan reports that it has added two big hitters to its European team. Jan Strban has joined, taking on the position of senior product marketing manager and Adrian Costache has taken on the role of area sales manager.

Jan Strban joins from Continental Slovakia, where he most recently held the position of head of product management. He brings with him experience as a member of international teams, involved in a large number of Conti’s projects over the last 15 years.

Strban – while supporting Prinx Chengshan’s China-based R&D team – has a brief to develop the firm’s car and truck tyre portfolios as well as “all aspects of product marketing strategies throughout Europe and ex-Soviet Union territories”. The role encompasses responsibility for the manufacturer’s four house brands – Prinx, Chengshan, Fortune and Austone.

As the company’s new area sales manager, Adrian Costache will be responsible for creating partnerships with distributors in the mediterranean region, Romania and Bulgaria. He will also contribute to the development of company’s positioning strategy, including competitor, pricing, and market analysis.

Costache, a seasoned tyre man, comes from the private sector and brings with him knowledge of modern sales management, having worked for leading tyre distributors in his home country of Romania for more than 15 years.

Strban will be based in Puchov, Slovakia and Costache in Bucharest, Romania. Both report directly to the European managing director Ivan Majsky.

“Jan and Adrian are right at their prime time, full of experience, energy and enthusiasm, with lots of personality, both genuine experts in their field”, Prinx Chengshan managing director Ivan Majsky said, adding: “we are very proud and excited to have both gentlemen on board.”
