New top management organisation for Europe

Dr Enki Tan, executive chairman of Giti Tire, has announced that Stefan Fischer and Corrado Moglia have been appointed as managing directors – Europe. The news follows the resignation of Richard Lyons, who has left the company with immediate effect. Prior to his resignation, Lyons was managing director Giti Tire (Europe) and director – International Sales & Marketing, Passenger Car.

Richard Lyons added the responsibilities of director of international marketing & sales for passenger car to his role as Giti’s European MD in January 2015. Giti announced that the had resigned in September.

Stefan Fischer will be managing director – Europe for Product Technology, which includes R&D, OE, product planning and field engineering. He will concurrently maintain his role as managing director – R&D Centre Europe.

Corrado Moglia takes the role of managing director – Europe for Commercial, which includes operational elements including sales and marketing. He will also continue as managing director – Latin America.

Dr Tan said: “We are delighted that Stefan and Corrado have accepted the responsibility to lead our European operations. As longstanding members of our senior management team they have proven their leadership skills and knowledge time-and-time again and will further drive the organisation’s growth.

Commenting on Lyon’s departure, Dr Tan added: “Richard worked with Giti Tire for 10 years, and we would like to thank him for his contribution to the company and we extend our best wishes to him in his future endeavours.”
