Belgium’s Varius becomes Starco Selected Dealer

Belgian forklift tyre (FLT) and wheel distributor Varius NV has been appointed a Starco Selected Dealer for these products. The independent FLT segment specialist is a small but growing company and offers specialist sales and mounting support services to major FLT and port equipment operators in the Antwerp region. Varius is said to offer a wide range of pneumatic and solid rubber tyres from its 1,600 square metre warehouse in Geel, 25 kilometres east of Antwerp. In addition to sales and distribution, the company offers tyre mounting and wheel service, both from its main facility and in the field.

“FLT customers are a highly specialised segment that is typically served by specialist OEM and aftermarket suppliers,” comments Starco group marketing manager Brian Lorentzen. “Starco wants to work with established FLT service and distribution companies. Varius NV is an obvious choice for Starco, because they are FLT specialists serving a well-defined geographical region in which there are many major FLT and port equipment operators.” Furthermore, Starco identified that Varius has the necessary sales volume to justify maintaining a warehouse stock that can support their local market directly and guarantees quick deliveries.

As a selected dealer, Varius will receive Tusker and Unicorn FLT tyres direct from the Starco FLT tyre factory in Sri Lanka, thereby reducing transport and handling costs from factory to market. Alongside these products, Varius will continue to distribute other solid rubber and pneumatic FLT tyres from several manufacturers, including the Kenda pneumatic range, which is also supplied through Starco. Although the selected dealership agreement focuses mainly on FLT tyres, Varius and its customers will have access to the entire Starco product catalogue, which is backed up with logistic support from the Starco central warehouse in Winsen, Germany, ensuring fulfilment of most orders within 24 hours.
