Mitas supplying tyres and rims for New Holland Air Cart

Mitas reports that the Mitas 800/70R38 178D/181A8 CHO SFT complete wheel set weighs almost 680kg

Mitas Tires North America has signed a long-term agreement with CNH Industrial’s NAFTA group for the supply of Mitas agricultural tyres and GKN wheel assemblies for the New Holland Air Cart models manufactured in the company’s Saskatoon plant in Canada. Six tyre tread designs and eight dimensions have been chosen for the Air Cart, along with a number of wheel designs and colours; complete wheel assemblies will be shipped from Mitas’ factory in Charles City (Iowa, USA). One key size – the Mitas 800/70R38 178D/181A8 CHO SFT – will comprise a significant volume of these assemblies.

“Depending on the current and future market conditions, we are talking about thousands of tyres to be delivered to the CNHI plant in Saskatoon,” said Gregory Gilland, OE key accounts director at Mitas Tires North America. “We are diversifying our portfolio with CNHI by engaging other platforms outside of motorised vehicles such as tractors or combines where our tyres can continue to deliver a major performance difference.”

“Mitas’ superior product performance, quality, service, and competitive pricing won our trust. We continue to extend our cooperation with Mitas in the North American market,” added Steve Timmons, senior director global marketing at Case New Holland.
