Kraiburg invests 4 million euros in machinery

Kraiburg Austria has revealed plans to invest 4 million euros mainly in upgrading its buffing machinery this year. The retreading specialist says the aim is “to maintain quality at the highest possible level and to keep the production processes as flexible and as efficient as possible”.

The new buffing line began at the beginning of the year. The set-up and tooling processes are automated so that short throughput times are guaranteed for the growing variety of pro-ducts. According to Kraiburg, the buffing machine also produces impressive results in that the pattern now appears much more even, both on the underside of the tread and on the tops of the wings thanks to the new manufacturing technology.

“In addition to the buffing line, we are investing in improving productivity and efficiency in all other areas, too. This includes our plant and machinery, our cycles and processes, and the training of our staff,” said Thorsten Schmidt, managing director of Kraiburg Austria, “and we are delighted that the technology of the new buffing line is already enabling us to provide our customers, the retreaders, with an even better and more flexible service.”
