Employment award hat-trick for Goodyear

For the third consecutive year, the Top Employers Institute has recognised Goodyear Dunlop Tires Europe with a ‘Top Employer Europe’ award. The Netherlands-based organisation certifies companies that “create excellence in the conditions for their people,” and Goodyear has received Top Employers Institute certification in nine European countries: Belgium, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and the UK. For the first time, Goodyear’s national organisations in Turkey, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates were also certified as ‘Top Employers’. Goodyear is one of only 27 companies to receive accreditation as a Top Employer Europe this year.

According to Goodyear, the focus of the institute’s research is closely aligned to the tyre maker’s own Top Talent and Team philosophy and its common goal to “attract, develop, motivate and retain the best team of associates.” An audit by the Top Employers Institute covers key areas of human resources policy, and companies are selected for certification based on their performance in a number of areas, including talent strategy, performance management, career and succession management, learning and development, as well as compensation and benefits and company culture.

“Being certified as ‘Top Employer Europe’ for the third consecutive year by such a well-known independent institute and extending the certification to three new countries outside of Europe is an excellent reward for our company’s first-rate human resource efforts and achievements across the region,” commented Rajita D’Souza, vice-president of human resources at Goodyear Dunlop Tires Europe. “We value the award as recognition of our continued commitment to provide an outstanding working environment throughout the organisation to attract and retain highly motivated, engaged and skilled associates. In today’s challenging economic environment we can only innovate, manufacture and market the industry’s best brands, products and solutions if we have the best people on board.”
