South Wales tyre centres celebrate a decade of charity support

e Wave presenter Claire Scott interview’s Protyre area manager Gareth Vrac.

The three Harris Brothers Tyres retail centres in Swansea, part of the Protyre network, are celebrating a decade of support for the Cash for Kids charity by raising more than £330,000 in sponsorship funds in the course of just over a decade. The charity, which is supported by radio stations Swansea Sound and The Wave, provides support and donations to a variety of South Wales children’s charities.

”We are so grateful for the support of the team at Harris Brothers”, said Helen Bowden, station director at The Wave and Swansea Sound. “The money raised has not only been so valuable in helping a variety of local children’s charities, the fact that the company has maintained its support for over a decade is extraordinary”.

According to the company, the Harris Brothers tyre centre network in Swansea is one of the most successful local suppliers of replacement tyres, servicing and other safety related components and the company has always been a strong supporter of local charities developing innovative ways of raising money. “As a company we have always considered our place within the local community to be vital and we always want to make a contribution”, said Protyre area manager Gareth Vrac. “Our support for Cash for Kids is an integral part of that commitment”.

According to company representatives, Micheldever Tyre Services’ Protyre retail business currently operates 63 outlets (including Protyre Motorsport) and “continues to gain geographic coverage in the UK through new acquisitions”.
