Dunlop is official tyre of AMG Driving Academy

Dunlop is the official tyre partner of the AMG Driving Academy for the 2014/2015 season. The partnership with the AMG Driving Academy is the next step of an ongoing cooperation between Mercedes-AMG and Dunlop, with both companies delivering high performance products to the market.

Mercedes-AMG and Dunlop have already worked together in the past, seeing a number of successes in motorsport activities. Dunlop has been the official partner of the AMG customer sports department since 2011 and both brands have also jointly developed a number of new Original Equipment tyres for different AMG vehicles.

Building on this relationship, the AMG Driving Academy now allows AMG customers to experience the high performance of Dunlop tyres first hand on the track. As part of the offering, Dunlop provides at some 35 track events in 2014 at the AMG Driving Academy a professional installation service including motorsport tyres, experienced technicians and service personnel. AMG Driving Academy customers are able to drive the A 45 AMG, the CLA 45 AMG, the SLS AMG GT FINAL EDITION and the SLS AMG GT3 – a range of AMG vehicles on Dunlop’s high performance tyres.

The ongoing cooperation between Dunlop and Mercedes-AMG also builds on a number of recent tyre approvals. The Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupé Black Series was delivered in 2012 with the Track Package on Dunlop Sport Maxx Race. In 2013 this was followed by releases for the Sport Maxx RT on the A 45 AMG and CLA 45 AMG. In both cases the tyres were chosen for their optimized braking performance and precise handling. The SLS AMG GT FINAL EDITION is also optionally delivered with Dunlop Sport Maxx Race to customers.

There are also approvals for Dunlop tyres for models such as on the ML 63 AMG or SL 65 AMG, where Dunlop offers AMG-approved tyres. All tyres are specially developed by Dunlop for Mercedes-AMG and marked with the suffix “MO” on the sidewall.
