CITExpo aims to break records with its 12th edition

When the 12th edition of China International Tire Expo (CITExpo) opens its doors at the Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center between 10 and 12 September 2014 it is set to be the biggest trade fair in the event’s history. According to the organizer, Reliable International Exhibition Services Co., Ltd., the addition of a new hall – hall D – as well as the fast take up of space in halls 1-3 has made the difference this year.

Over 400 quality international and domestic exhibitors will occupy 28,000 square metres of exhibition space, which is a 20 per cent increase from last year’s figures. Exhibiting companies include brand names such as Cooper, Apollo, Double Coin, YHI, Stamford, Techking, Guizhou Tyre, Triangle and many domestic and foreign manufacturers. Furthermore the show features suppliers in the tyre related industries, including tyres, tubes, wheels, tyre and wheel maintenance equipment, tyre accessories and tyre production products; representatives of which will showcase their latest products and services to the buyers coming from over 100 countries worldwide.

Two months before the show’s opening, the number of booked stands and floor space was already a new record for the past 11 years of the show. Indeed Reliable reports that CITExpo has been growing every year in the past 11 years since its first show launched in 2003, despite various international economic crises along the way. Moving forward, the organisers hope that the show becomes one of the most attended shows in the worldwide tyre industry not only because it is held in the largest tyre production and consumption market in China, but also because of the highly internationalized buyers of this show have reportedly been exceeding the exhibitors’ expectation. The number of pre-registering visitors has also increased compared to the same stage of last year’s show.
