Pelmar Engineering appoints new CEO

Israel-based tyre industry machinery specialist Pelmar Engineering Ltd. has named Joseph Anglister its chief executive officer. Anglister began his new role on 1 May and takes on some of the duties formerly carried out by managing director Hagai Peled.

Prior to joining Pelmar, Joseph Anglister spent more than 20 years as the CEO of both public and private companies and gained broad experience in the tyre and rubber industries. He is a graduate of the Technion -Israel Institute of Technology, with a M.Sc. in Operations Research and B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering. “I look forward to managing the Pelmar Group, which has gained world recognition as a market leader in equipment and engineering related to the tyre and rubber industry,” stated Anglister. “I intend to enhance Pelmar’s technical and technological capabilities worldwide.” He added: “I have found here an experienced team with an impressive accumulated experience and knowledge in the polymer industry.”

Commenting on the new appointment, Pelmar founder and executive chairman Jacob Peled said he is very proud that Joseph Anglister has agreed to become the CEO of the group, adding that Pelmar’s growth and expansion requires the quality management that Anglister brings with him.

Hagai Peled will continue to manage the Pelmar Group’s sales and marketing worldwide. “I feel that the additional quality and experience of management for our group will allow me to focus on what I do best and where my passion lies, and that is sales and marketing,” he said.
